Today was our 4 1/2 month check up with the Doctor.  We heard the heart beat again.  It was much louder then last month.  The doctor said it sounds like a boy.  So for a count that is six that have said its a boy, and five that say girl.  As for me... I could care less, but we only have until Tuesday to find out!  We are so excited!

14 Week Baby Bump..... Mound

I'm not sure if this is depressing or exciting....  Depressing because of the way my body is changing forever, exciting because there is proof that a little human is growing inside me.

10 Week U/S

Ok so I know that this is about a week late, and I am sorry that I haven't posted it.

I have had two problems.

(1) This was in the wrong format to upload, so one video converter and 15 minutes of converting later, I am able to upload

(2) Fuzzy is still not being so nice to my stomach or my head, when I'm not so sick I want to lay down and cry, I have a head ache that is so splitting you might as well add a banana, and three scoops of white, brown, and pink ice cream, because that is the only thing that would make them remotely appealing. Did I mention that the thought of a banana spilt makes me want to lose my lunch?

This being said, the video below makes everything worth it already! Can you believe that at just 10 weeks, this little miracle already has fingers, and toes, and moves more than I do right now!

So I hope you enjoy this as much as we did!

The Big News

For those of you that wanted to see my parents reaction, see below.  I think my sister reacted the most unexpectedly, breaking out in sobs.

Back pain, nausea, and cravings OH MY!

First things first; the back pain. I had read that lower back pain was a symptom of pregnancy. So when it showed up I didn't think anything of it. It wasn't until it got progressively worse, that I mentioned it to the nurse. Little did I know that lower back pain is also a symptom of a UTI. I think I was the first person to thank her when she gave me a positive result for a UTI. My thought process was, THANK GOD! I don't have to put up with this pain, it is fixable with seven days of antibiotics twice a day.

Secondly, Nausea. So I hear that something like half of all women experience some form of morning sickness. Well I got lucky enough to be in the not so lucky half. throwing up is not really my thing, but oh the dry heaves and the feeling like I need to throw up constantly is defiantly me. Never in my life have I ever had to force myself to eat until my stomach and brain were deceived by a high beta level. To bad this problem did not come when my body was supposed to be growing. I might of had an easy time loosing weight for once in my life.

Thirdly - Tigers. So Apples and pepper jack cheese? Pop tarts? Well two things to add to the list of things that I have been craving. Oh and don't forget the lemons. So make that three.

Why do doctors insist on doing things backwards?

On Monday, the day after I tested positive on the pregnancy test, I called the doctor and asked what the procedure was for making my first OB appointment. The nurse told me that I needed to come in and take a blood pregnancy test.
Little did I know and the nurse failed to tell me, if my hCG level was below 1000 then I would have to retake the test until my level was above 1000. Oh yeah, did I mention that each test cost me $40. REDICULOUS!
Why could she not tell me that when I called and that if I wasn't that far along then my levels would be to low and I would have to take the test again?
Since I was not given the knowledge needed before I took the test, I went into the doctor’s office on Tuesday for the test. I was told after blood had been drawn from my arm that since I was only 4 weeks along that my levels would most likely be to low. So now I have to go back next week to make sure my hormone levels are above 1000, and then they will schedule me for my first appointment.

The GREAT news is..... the blood test confirms it, WE ARE PREGNANT!
