2 weeks old

Lydia is now 2 weeks old!  Where has the time gone?

38 Weeks

How far along? 38 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 35+
Maternity clothes? YES
Stretch marks? unfortunately
Sleep: Contractions like to come at night, which really makes me mad to be startled away for a contraction.  Hopefully they are doing something.
Best moment this week:  Doctors appointment... we have started the labor process, we're not far along but at least we've started.
Movement: Less then in the past, she is getting bigger.  But she is still very active after dinner, and gets way more then 10 movements per day, which is what the doctors look for.
Food cravings: Not really, Still like fruit.
Gender: Princess
Labor Signs: We have started dilation, and contractions at night
Belly Button in or out? in
What I miss: turning over in bed easily
What I am looking forward to: Holding my baby
Milestones: Only 2 and a half more weeks at the most

36 Weeks

How far along? 36 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 35+
Maternity clothes? YES
Stretch marks? unfortunately
Sleep: I am having problems with getting comfortable, but I slept until 10:30 this morning
Best moment this week: Realizing that Lydia made it past the day that I did to grace the world with my presence
Movement: very active in the morning and after dinner.  Its starting to really hurt, which is a good thing because it means she is getting stronger.
Food cravings: I could care less what I am eating.
Gender: GIRL
Labor Signs: We have started dilation
Belly Button in or out? in
What I miss: normal walking
What I am looking forward to: Holding my baby
Milestones:  last month!  Only 4 more weeks at the most

35 Weeks!

How far along? 35 weeks

Total weight gain/loss:  I stopped counting, the doctors knows though and hasn't said anything so I think I'm ok (I am upset to say its only going to get worse before it gets better... weight watchers better be ready for me!)
Maternity clothes? Are you kidding?!  At this point I think my belly measurement might just be longer then my height.
Stretch marks? two more small grew to two large ones, which multiplied to several purple lines around my belly button, it almost looks like one of those swirly paintings that I did as a kid.  You know at the carnival they would put the card on a spinning wheel and you would drop paint onto it and watch it make a pretty painting as the paint moved from the inside to the outside.  Well Lydia did that with purple starting at my belly button.
Sleep: not really having trouble sleeping, I cannot get enough though!
Best moment this week: Work Baby Shower/realizing that if Lydia decides to appear when I did she only has a week left in her current home.
Movement: very active, and starting to hurt when she dances... Mommy has organs in there honey so please be gentle!
Food cravings: No real cravings just hungry all the time
Gender: GIRL
Labor Signs: Some contractions....nothing new though
Belly Button in or out? still in
What I miss: Feeling baby movement and not wincing from discomfort.
What I am looking forward to: Seeing what Lydia is going to look like
Milestones: Room done!  Showers done!  Almost here, not much longer now!

Lydia's Room

After 4 hours of organizing with my sister in law (Thanks Lauren), and one vision later. We have a room ready for Lydia!

There are a couple more things to do, but for the most part, we are done with the basics!!  SO EXCITING!
